Trumpeter Jason Carder grew up in Arizona and studied music at Interlochen Arts Academy and University of Miami, and adjunct positions at Mannes School of Music (Prep Division) and Florida International University. He held the position of visiting assistant professor of jazz trumpet at the University of Miami, and now tours extensively as the trumpet soloist with Yanni.
His professional experience includes tours with the bands of Yanni, Maria Schneider, Ray Charles, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Paul Anka, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Jaco Pastorius Big Band and the Original Wildcat Jass Band. He has contributed his talent to over Eighty albums, including "Sky Blue" by Maria Schneider; Arturo Sandoval's "Rumba Palace," "Americana," and Grammy Award-winning "Hot House", and Yanni’s DVD “Yanni Voices Live from the forum in Acapulco".
His soundtrack credits include "There's Something About Mary", "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," and "Bailando por Un Sueno." He also has appeared as featured soloist with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra under Peter Nero, and the New World School of the Arts Big Band.
